I’m Derek “Triple D” Davidson—and I’ve stood where you stand. I’ve taught in your classrooms.
I’ve walked the same halls and watched too many talented instructors feel overlooked or left out.
I’ve been the new hire. I’ve been the supervisor. I’ve been the voice in the room asking:
“Why does it feel like no one’s listening?” That’s why I’m running for Vice President of TWU 548 DFW.
Not for status. Not for ego. But because I believe this union should work better—for all of us.
Whether you’re SimP or FCTI, new to the job or a veteran of the halls
—we all deserve transparency, consistency, and respect.
If you’ve ever felt like your voice didn’t matter, I want to change that. I don’t have all the answers.
But I know how to listen, how to fight for the right thing, and how to bring people together to get results.
Let’s build the union we’ve always needed.
Together. New ballots will be sent soon. Let’s make this one count.

"I bring the kind of leadership that’s earned and groomed in high-pressure environments, shaped by experience across every corner of aviation training, and rooted in values that don’t shift when things get hard. I’ve led in war zones, built trust in the cockpit, and held instructors to the highest standards–and no one more than myself. That’s the level of commitment I’ll bring to TWU 548—because anything less doesn’t move us forward."
